Chinese Khakra

Chinese Khakra is a modern fusion snack inspired by the traditional Gujarati khakra, a roasted flatbread known for its long shelf life and crisp texture. As tastes evolved, khakra makers began experimenting with global flavours. The “Chinese” variant borrows from Indo-Chinese seasoning profiles—popular across Indian street food—while retaining the authentic khakra roasting technique.

Chinese Khakra is thin, crunchy, and boldly flavoured. Perfectly roasted (not fried), it delivers a light, crisp bite infused with Indo-Chinese spices—subtle heat, savoury umami notes, and a gentle tang. The seasoning is evenly balanced, enhancing the wheat base without overpowering it. Each piece is uniform, fresh, and satisfying, making it an ideal tea-time snack or guilt-free munch.

Chinese Khakra is best enjoyed fresh within a day at room temperature. If refrigerated, it can stay fresh for 3–5 days. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain its crispness. If refrigerated, allow it to come to room temperature before serving for the best texture and flavour.
